Download and read online Born To Love Born To Give in PDF and EPUB This book is a wake-up call. It will teach you to love and give of yourself. For me, it started at the age of seven. I realized there was something different about my life and the reason I was born. The more I gave love, the more I wanted to give, so I became a love walker and developed a giving spirit. I wrote this book to teach others to love and give by giving you the experiences of my journey in life. I became a person of love and giving. I wanted this book to be remembered through ages of generations to come. I remember, when I was three years old, how my sister had a love for me. Everywhere she went, she brought me with her. She was seventeen at that time, and she protected me and always kept me safe. This book will teach you to love everybody. I remember the Word of God. That he so loved the world that he gave his son Jesus for us to have a life. There is no greater love than that, and no matter how much the enemy attacks you, you can still love. It will teach you to witness to this world with love. It will teach you to depend on the Holy Spirit to lead you and direct your path for you to walk in love. That you may become a love walker and a love talker. This book is about my life of love and giving. I want this book to be a memory of my life, and maybe someone will be touched. I have come a long way in my life. I'm now seventy-four years old, and the love I have has become stronger and stronger. This book will teach you to love and give meaning. You'll find yourself giving and serving no longer yourself but others. The spirit of love will arise in your life. This book will tell of visions that came to pass. It will have you walking in faith. You'll start looking at the soul instead of the person. You will become a soul winner. Have you told someone you love them, or have you given a hug or lift someone up or encourage them? This world is looking for love, and people are finding it in wrong places. If you know Jesus, then you have love. Remember, love will cover and love will draw. Love will find that void we have. For in the beginning, we were born to love. Love, Dolores Knight

This book is about falling in love, bad decisions, and ultimately growth. The essence of it all is to show that no matter how far one falls all the mistakes don’t have to be what defines them.

Download and read online Sitting in Silence Dying Out Loud in PDF and EPUB As children we are taught many things, but you can't teach someone how to love. No matter what you read or think about love, it is multifaceted. Sitting In Silence, Dying Out Loud or Verses shares one man's story of facing love blindly, foolishly, and without limit, guided by his devotion to music and the written word.In college, author F. J. Bonet' realized he excelled at conveying his feelings through the written word rather than verbally, as if for his entire life he had maintained a wall of silence around himself. However, Bonet' cannot recall a period in his life that doesn't involve music. He has always considered himself a musician who could not play an instrument and a songwriter with a heart full of music who could not express it through song. In Sitting In Silence, Dying Out Loud or Verses, Bonet' deconstructs his silent barrier, allowing you to listen to his world. From the paternal love of "Baby" and "All You Need To Know" to the bittersweet love of "The Ring Don't Mean a Thing" and "If I Could Rescue You," Bonet' paints a mural of the beauty, joy, misery, pain, hope, and love in his heart.

Download and read online The Life You Were Born to Give in PDF and EPUB Everything we have we've been given. Even our very lives are a gift from God, given so we can live to give, not live to get. Yet it is our tendency in life to absorb, to take in without distribution resulting in a "souring" of all that is good and a separation from all that is intended. In The Life You Were Born to Give, David McKinley helps readers shift their focus from getting all they can out of life to giving their lives away, for Christ. Guiding them through the book of Romans, the transformational message includes: A Life Delivered (Romans 1-11) A Life Devoted (Romans 12: 1-2) A Life Distributed (Romans 12-16) "Recommended for readers looking for a basic approach to spiritual growth." -Don Morgan, Aspiring Retail

Download and read online Born a Crime in PDF and EPUB #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The compelling, inspiring, and comically sublime story of one man’s coming-of-age, set during the twilight of apartheid and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY Michiko Kakutani, New York Times • Newsday • Esquire • NPR • Booklist Trevor Noah’s unlikely path from apartheid South Africa to the desk of The Daily Show began with a criminal act: his birth. Trevor was born to a white Swiss father and a black Xhosa mother at a time when such a union was punishable by five years in prison. Living proof of his parents’ indiscretion, Trevor was kept mostly indoors for the earliest years of his life, bound by the extreme and often absurd measures his mother took to hide him from a government that could, at any moment, steal him away. Finally liberated by the end of South Africa’s tyrannical white rule, Trevor and his mother set forth on a grand adventure, living openly and freely and embracing the opportunities won by a centuries-long struggle. Born a Crime is the story of a mischievous young boy who grows into a restless young man as he struggles to find himself in a world where he was never supposed to exist. It is also the story of that young man’s relationship with his fearless, rebellious, and fervently religious mother—his teammate, a woman determined to save her son from the cycle of poverty, violence, and abuse that would ultimately threaten her own life. The stories collected here are by turns hilarious, dramatic, and deeply affecting. Whether subsisting on caterpillars for dinner during hard times, being thrown from a moving car during an attempted kidnapping, or just trying to survive the life-and-death pitfalls of dating in high school, Trevor illuminates his curious world with an incisive wit and unflinching honesty. His stories weave together to form a moving and searingly funny portrait of a boy making his way through a damaged world in a dangerous time, armed only with a keen sense of humor and a mother’s unconventional, unconditional love. Praise for Born a Crime “[A] compelling new memoir . . . By turns alarming, sad and funny, [Trevor Noah’s] book provides a harrowing look, through the prism of Mr. Noah’s family, at life in South Africa under apartheid. . . . Born a Crime is not just an unnerving account of growing up in South Africa under apartheid, but a love letter to the author’s remarkable mother.”—Michiko Kakutani, The New York Times “[An] unforgettable memoir.”—Parade “What makes Born a Crime such a soul-nourishing pleasure, even with all its darker edges and perilous turns, is reading Noah recount in brisk, warmly conversational prose how he learned to negotiate his way through the bullying and ostracism. . . . What also helped was having a mother like Patricia Nombuyiselo Noah. . . . Consider Born a Crime another such gift to her—and an enormous gift to the rest of us.”—USA Today “[Noah] thrives with the help of his astonishingly fearless mother. . . . Their fierce bond makes this story soar.”—People “[Noah’s] electrifying memoir sparkles with funny stories . . . and his candid and compassionate essays deepen our perception of the complexities of race, gender, and class.”—Booklist (starred review) “A gritty memoir . . . studded with insight and provocative social criticism . . . with flashes of brilliant storytelling and acute observations.”—Kirkus Reviews

Author: Bruce Springsteen

Download and read online Born to Run in PDF and EPUB “Writing about yourself is a funny business…But in a project like this, the writer has made one promise, to show the reader his mind. In these pages, I’ve tried to do this.” —Bruce Springsteen, from the pages of Born to Run In 2009, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed at the Super Bowl’s halftime show. The experience was so exhilarating that Bruce decided to write about it. That’s how this extraordinary autobiography began. Over the past seven years, Bruce Springsteen has privately devoted himself to writing the story of his life, bringing to these pages the same honesty, humor, and originality found in his songs. He describes growing up Catholic in Freehold, New Jersey, amid the poetry, danger, and darkness that fueled his imagination, leading up to the moment he refers to as “The Big Bang”: seeing Elvis Presley’s debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. He vividly recounts his relentless drive to become a musician, his early days as a bar band king in Asbury Park, and the rise of the E Street Band. With disarming candor, he also tells for the first time the story of the personal struggles that inspired his best work, and shows us why the song “Born to Run” reveals more than we previously realized. Born to Run will be revelatory for anyone who has ever enjoyed Bruce Springsteen, but this book is much more than a legendary rock star’s memoir. This is a book for workers and dreamers, parents and children, lovers and loners, artists, freaks, or anyone who has ever wanted to be baptized in the holy river of rock and roll. Rarely has a performer told his own story with such force and sweep. Like many of his songs (“Thunder Road,” “Badlands,” “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” “The River,” “Born in the U.S.A.,” “The Rising,” and “The Ghost of Tom Joad,” to name just a few), Bruce Springsteen’s autobiography is written with the lyricism of a singular songwriter and the wisdom of a man who has thought deeply about his experiences.
